OEM agreement delivers end-to-end control solutions for SDI-IP routing systems

Arkona technologies GmbH has announced a new OEM partnership with BFE Studio und Medien Systeme GmbH, a leading broadcast system integrator and manufacturer of control and management solutions. The partnership will allow arkona to offer arkona-branded control panels for their SDI-IP routing systems. These panels will be on display at IBC2026 on stand 8.A69, which arkona will share with technology partner manifold.
The agreement follows increasing demand from end users for arkona-labelled control panels as the company’s EASY-IP concept has gained traction in the market. Since introducing EASY-IP – a solution which helps broadcasters make the transition from SDI to IP-based production facilities – arkona has attracted significant interest from broadcasters building larger SDI-IP routers, creating a need for comprehensive control solutions, both software and hardware-based.
BFE, a member of the Broadcast Solutions Group with more than 50 years of experience in broadcast and media technology, manufactures its own KSC product line of control and management solutions. The company has offered these control panels for decades and maintains a substantial installed base across Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.
Arkona’s existing control interfaces – including NMOS and Ember+ – already allow system integrators and end users to work with control panels from various third-party suppliers. However, as larger router systems have been deployed, arkona has increasingly received requests from customers for end-to-end solutions carrying the arkona brand itself.
Since arkona has been controlling BFE-labelled panels directly from its own EasyIP BLADE//master control software for some time – with installations across some of the biggest live sports events of the last year – formalising a branded partnership with BFE as an OEM made good sense, as the compatibility, intuitive usability, robust build quality and technical reliability were already proven concepts. The long-standing trust built between the two companies will therefore be formalised through the delivery of arkona-branded control panels from October 1st.
